OUR MEMBERS' SUCCESS STORIES

"Ten months ago I couldn't get up off the floor - or in and out of the bathtub - or pick up the bag of dog food - or walk from the bedroom to the kitchen without sitting to catch my breath. Today I can quickly and easily get off the floor, pick up and carry a 30lb kettlebell around the gym, enjoy my spa bath, and walk over a mile! All because I found an ad for a new Alloy gym opening in Claymont. After a thorough interview, the wonderful staff set up a personal plan for me and changed my life!

Alloy is a family. A wonderful joyous group of trainers who put the client's needs first. Yes they encourage stretching to new heights, but always praise us as we go. I love going to Alloy. We laugh, meet others, and encourage the newcomers like old friends.

I'm down 76 pounds. Arms, legs, and core have actual muscles!

Alloy is like no other gym I have ever experienced. Thank you all for your support and care!"

"One of the mindsets I started my journey with was to listen to the experts and just do what I’m told. The trainers have pushed me and I have simply done what they tell me. My strength and stamina have increased significantly, my energy levels outside of the gym are probably higher than any time in my life.

So far, I've lowered my BMI to 34, originally 46. I have had to get a new wardrobe as my pants have gone from size 54 to size 38. My 3XL shirts are becoming L. I am down to one medication and my doctor and I have begun conversations about eliminating that. My A1C is down to 5 (originally 8) and I am no longer a diabetic. All of this occurred with a year of hard work. The trainers at Alloy deserve some credit for my success as I’m doing what they tell me to do.

Today, I look forward to my workouts. It’s 3 hours a week I set aside for myself to take care of me.  It sounds selfish but this has changed so much of my time outside of the gym where I have more energy to take care of those I care about.  What is the hardest part of being a part of Alloy?  Walking through the door.  If you can show up, the trainers will take care of the rest.
